Zoe is a Mexican alternative rock band. Formed in 1995 in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and made official in Mexico City in 1997, led porLeón Larregui (vocals), and well made, Sergio Acosta (guitar), Jesus Baez (keyboards), Angel Mosqueda (bass), Rodrigo Guardiola ( battery).Origin of Zoe (1994)Zoe's story begins in late 1994 and consolidated with a stable lineup in mid-1997 with Leo Larregui (vocals, guitar), Sergio Acosta (guitar), Joe Cabrera (drums), Angel Mosqueda (bass) and Chucho Baez (keyboards). In addition to basics like The Beatles, the sound of Zoe to perceive the influence of bands like The Stone Roses and The Charlatans. The band takes its name when they met a girl who is the sister of an ex-girlfriend who had Angel Mosqueda (bass) called Zoe and I thought it sounded good and also is writing and because many bands Rock Long names were then, however this seemed very well for short and because Zoe means life in ancient Greek.[Edit] Beginnings and debut album Zoe (same) (1998-2002)A lack of space to show his music, Zoé is disclosed in the underground scene with concerts organized by themselves, the internet and self-produced demo. Thanks to these efforts and the good reviews that were gaining gradually gained popularity in Spanish-language radio stations in America. In early 2005, the band began working with the songs on her next album. In mid 2005 the band recorded the song "Dead" with its own resources. For these times, Beto Cabrera (then drummer) left the band. Zoe Jorge Siddhartha who contract to leave the band to pursue his solo project, was replaced by Rodrigo Guardiola, who until today is the drummer for Zoe. Some major labels were very interested in signing the band, but Zoe, tired of his previous experiences with transnational labels, surprised everyone when he signed with Noiselab, an independent label in Mexico. New songs to complete the EP called The Room, were produced.Due to bad experiences in the music world, strong rumors of the breakup of the band were growing. Have confessed that the EP did not produce a favorable result, Zoe would be separated. However, the EP was a resounding success, receiving a Gold Record for its more than 50,000 units sold. Some songs were recorded in English, and producers such as Alan McGee, expressed interest in taking the band to the UK and the rest of Europe. The launch of the EP was followed by two sold-out shows at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City. No EP in the history of Mexico has many sales and so successful. 2010)Since early 2007, Leon came Larregui Reptilectric word, which was created from reading about the Mayan prophecies. It was decided that this would be the name of his next album. The songs began to be written and structured in the first months of the year.Interestingly, the first thing that existed in this album was the song name and not, as commonly happens. The songs were recorded in July of that year at the Sonic Ranch studio again with producer Phil Vinall. The post-production and mixing was carried out during August and September in Los Angeles, California. By early October the album was ready and the first single in rotation: the song "Reptilectric" which was released on September 8 in radio and the video was presented on October 16, the same day that Zoe was presented in the MTV Latin America Awards. The output of the album was scheduled for November 11, but distribution problems hit stores in Mexico on November 13, 2008.On November 27, 2008 were presented at the National Auditorium in sold out weeks before. Reptilectric is considered the best album of the band, receiving critical praise for Mexico and other countries. It was the second album of the band that went on sale outside of Mexico, reaching Spain, USA and Latin America. Reptiletric spent five weeks at number one in sales in Mexico. Thanks to this, in May 2009 was certified platinum by its more than 150,000 copies sold, in addition to certified DVD "281107" with the gold record for its more than 10,000 units sold. In 2010 undertook a tour of Spain, where he promoted his album called Zoe 01-10, which had the collaboration of Enrique Bunbury, Anni B Sweet, Vetusta Morla and Dorian playing Poison, Nothing, Milky Way and Poli, were at Coachella later that year and began recording Unplugged.[Edit] MTV Unplugged: Background music (2011 -
